The Resort

Gesundaberget Ski Centre is another family run resort some 16 kilometres from the lovely town of Mora in Dalarna. Situated on Lake Siljan, Mora is the home of Anders Zorn, one of Sweden's most famous artists. The town has a cinema, gymnasium and a range of other facilities suitable for school groups. 

The Skiing
The ski season in Gesundaberget starts around early December and continues through until just after the Easter Holidays.

There are a total of 12 slopes, including a snow boarding slope. The slopes are ideal for both beginners and the more experienced skiers and because of its location is very popular with groups and individuals coming from the Stockholm area. It is a family resort in the true sense of the word and ideal for UK schools.

The resort has accommodation by the slopes which mean that once your students have mastered the basics they can ski to the door each day.

The slopes are snow guaranteed and the resort has its own restaurant and café.

All prices based on 40 paying students with four free members of staff.

Accomodation

 Gesundaberget has a series of Typical Swedish style cabins that can accommodate students from 4 through to 10. All the accommodation has en suite facilities and TV and some of the larger ones have their own saunas.

The standard is extremely high and the resort offers full board facilities for groups.

Après Ski

There are facilities for student groups to meet and watch DVDs as well as hold quiz evenings. A disco can be held with students from local schools in Mora.

The resort itself offers the opportunity for ice skating and ice fishing as well as snowmobiling, snow mountain biking, saunas and night time skiing by torch light. There is also the chance to go on a wilderness tour for the more adventurous.

Mora is a town with a strong cultural background in Sweden and offers a wealth of visits suitable for UK school groups.
